The UGTV site holds links to recordings from user group speakers all over the world (primarily on ColdFusion but also other Adobe topics. More on the intro page.) While it's offered as a free service by Charlie Arehart and carehart.org, anyone can add links using this easy form. If you're looking for downloadable recordings, see the note at bottom here.

Play: CFMeetup: No nonsense RESTful ColdFusion Web Services, with Taffy (Show Description) SOAP is a lie: It's not simple, it's not object-oriented, and it's not a protocol; all it does is give you access to things. On the other hand, REST, put simply, is everything that SOAP wishes it were. Unfortunately Macromedia bet on the wrong horse, and it's dead simple to create SOAP services in ColdFusion; but implementing REST is more painful than finding clorox wipes where the toilet paper should be. Taffy, a framework for building REST in ColdFusion, is unobtrusive, blazingly fast, and ultra-lightweight. It relies primarily on convention over configuration, and where configuration is necessary, it is kept to a minimum using code metadata. This session will explain the core concepts of REST in a way that even a total newbie can understand, and show you how to create simple CFCs that expose your data RESTfully. Play: ColdFusion Application Security (Show Description) Adobe's ColdFusion Specialist for the government sector, Adam Wayne Lehman will present "ColdFusion Application Security". This presentation details the OWASP Top Ten Most Critical Web Application Security Vulnerabilities and how they are pertain to developing ColdFusion applications. Demonstration of effective methods to avoid and prevent invalidated input, broken access controls, broken authentication and session management, cross-site scripting flaws, injection flaws, and improper error handling. Adam has been developing web applications specializing in ColdFusion for nearly a decade. His background includes designing and programming e-learning applications for Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and before Adobe, Adam was a Senior Web Systems Engineer for the U.S. Department of State where he managed a team of developers and architects enterprise ColdFusion applications. Adam has also managed the Department of State Adobe Developer User Group for over two years. His work has been featured in Macromedia?s DRK(Developer Resource Kit) and his other areas of expertise include application security, section 508-compliant design and Oracle database development. Look for this interface to improve over time...

...including categorizing (vital as more are added), perhaps using Flex or Ajax. Additionally, I'd like to offer the option to capture more details about each presentation as well as to add a mechanism for viewers to share comments with each other on each presentation.

About "no description"

If there's "no description available", it's just that the submitter didn't offer one. It could be that there simply was none they could offer, or they didn't know where to find one. I don't want to hamper people submitting presentations by forcing them to come up with descriptions. The field is there if they have one to offer. In the future, I'll enable a mechanism for folks to offer comments on each presentation, and from those I would gladly update the description (or allow the submitter to).

Are you looking for downloadable versions of these recordings? I'm afraid that's not something I can control for most of these recordings. TO be clear, this UGTV resource is just a repository of *links* to recordings (which can be posted by anyone at all). I do not host the *recordings*. I only offer a place to point to them in an organized fashion.
